One year ago, tiny kitchen bakeshop launched its first campaign and–wow–what a ride it has been since then. In the last year, you have ordered almost 3,400 cookies (no judgement) and raised over $3,200 for several awesome organizations. A sincere thank you to everyone who has placed orders and made donations over the last year. When I started TKB, I wasn’t quite sure how things would go, but thanks to your generosity (and your sweet tooth), together we have been able to put at least a tiny–but meaningful–mark on our community. I hope you have enjoyed the journey as much as I have.
For the months of October and November, TKB will be raising funds to support Community West Foundation, which is a foundation that supports a plethora of non-profit organizations in our community through grant making. Community West Foundation distributed $7.4 million in grants in 2020 alone. The mission of Community West Foundation has a rich history, which we will be learning more about in the coming weeks, and aims to provide access to basic life needs (think: shelter, food, water) and improved health–both mental and physical–to all members of our community, including refugees and those formerly incarcerated. Past grant recipients include: Beck Center for the Arts, Greater Cleveland Food Bank, Malachi House, May Dugan Center, Neighborhood Alliance, The Refugee Response, Seeds of Literacy, and so many more.
Stay tuned to learn more about Community West Foundation and some of the organizations it supports.
UPDATE: Together, we have raised $636.73 for Community West Foundation! Thank you for your big heart, your sweet tooth, and your generosity toward this very special organization. Please continue to show CWF some love as they work to fuel so many amazing non-profits in our community!
